Reflexology in Bishop’s Stortford

Reflexology is a non-invasive health therapy that can be effective in promoting overall wellbeing and relaxation. It is a touch therapy where pressure points on the feet are massaged as it is believed that different points on the feet correspond with different areas of the body.

I have been working with the human body for over 20 years, treating everyone from the young, the elderly to the athlete. I qualified in reflexology and advanced reflexology for women’s health in 2007 and I am Chartered and State Registered Physiotherapist.

I use a soft and caring approach to ensure that all my clients/patients feel relaxed and at ease during all times of the reflexology session. It is a non-invasive treatment so the patient remains fully clothed, removing only their socks. You can read my testimonials here to hear what my clients have to say about the sessions.

Reflexology can be helpful for all ages and you may it may help to:

    • Lower stress levels
    • Lower anxiety
    • Reduced tiredness
    • Improve relaxation
    • Improve mood levels
    • Improve wellbeing
    • Promote healing

In addition, the reflexology session provides a period of time for relaxation where my clients/patients have one to one attention with me in an empathetic and stress-free  environment.

It is based on the theory that all the systems and organs of our body are mirrored or reflected in smaller areas, for example the feet and then the reflexologist treats the reflected smaller area, in this case the feet. This therapy was not introduced to the Western world until Dr William Fitzgerald developed ‘Zone therapy’ in the early 1900s. Dr William Fitzgerald believed that areas on the feet and hands were linked to other areas and organs of the body.
